Stars& Saltires

We go on the search for Scotland's hidden generation of refugees. Stars& Saltires is produced with the aid of www.gatheringthevoices.com and testimonies by those who made the journey from occupied Europe to the furthest reaches of the British Isles. Experience, in their own words, what it meant to be ‘new’ Scots in 1940s Scotland. Stars& Saltires is produced by Station House Books in anticipation of Jock Tamson’s Bairn in Aberdeen’s Tivoli Theatre, the story of Walter Kress and his family's journey from the Holocaust to the Highlands.
